Custom Fields
emSign CertHub platform allows you to use custom fields in your certificate order form. The Custom Field can be used to simplify record-keeping and makes order management efficient.
The Custom Fields feature is turned off by default. To enable this feature for your emSign account, contact your account manager.
Once this feature is enabled, the Custom Order Fields menu option appears for Administrator users under Settings (Settings > Custom Fields) of your emSign account.
These custom fields are unique & specific to your account.
Use Cases
In addition to standard order fields, enterprises may require certain custom order fields that to use in the ordering form to capture specific information relevant to their operations. Below are the examples.
Project Codes: Enterprises may record their internal project codes in the ordering form to automatically associate this information to the order.
Cost Centre/Business Unit: Enterprises may record their cost centre/business units/department names (e.g.: Technology, etc.) in the ordering form to automatically associate this information to the order.
Internal Notes: Enterprises may record their internal request no., comments relevant to order fulfillment or any special handling instruction in the ordering form.
Owner/Sponsor Email ID: Enterprises may record their project owner/sponsor email ID in the ordering form. At the later stage, this information would help as a point of contact for any queries.
Escalation POC: Enterprises may record their Escalation Point-of-Contact email ID in the ordering form. At the later stage, this information would help as an escalation point of contact for any escalations.
Purchase Order Number: Enterprises may record their PO Number in the ordering form. At the later stage, this piece of information would help as an additional information for any payment/invoicing matters.
Server IP Address: Enterprises may record their Server IP Address in the ordering form. This helps to extract server-wise SSL usage reports on need basis.
Provider Name: Enterprises may record their SSL Provider Name (e.g.: eMudhra) in the ordering form.
SSL Hosting Service Provider Name: Enterprises may record their SSL Hosting Service Provider Name in the ordering form.
Add Custom Field
To add a new custom field to your emSign account, click "Add Custom Field (+)" option, 'Add Custom Field' pop-up will be displayed as shown below.
Enter the Field / Label Name.
Enter the Field Description, if you wish to populate the help description against the custom field.
Select the input type from the drop-down. The custom fields will vary as per the input type.
If Input Type is selected as Text Box, then below fields are required to be filled.
Max. Length: Type the maximum length of the text field.
Field Specification: Select Alphabets (and/or) Integers (and/or) Special characters.
Field Presence: Select Optional / Mandatory.
If Input Type is selected as Drop down, then below fields are required to be filled.
Field Values List: Enter the Field Values List (Pre-defined list).
Field Presence: Select Optional / Mandatory.
If Input Type is selected as Date Picker, then below field is required to be filled.
Field Presence: Select Optional / Mandatory.
If Input Type is selected as Checkbox, then below fields are required to be filled.
Field Values List: Enter the Field Values List (Pre-defined options).
Field Presence: Select Optional / Mandatory.
If Input Type is selected as Email, then below fields are required to be filled.
Max. Length: Type the maximum length of the text field.
Field Presence: Select Optional / Mandatory.
Click on "Add Field" to add the custom field to the account.
View Custom Field
Click on the 'View' action hyperlink in the grid to view Custom field details. On the custom field view page, the Account administrator can
Edit the custom data fields.
Deactivate the custom field. Once it is deactivated, fields will not be listed in your order forms.
